Mistakes are made in the heat of the moment and mistakes
were made a couple days ago. On both ends. As outsiders looking in, you
catch a glimpse and take it for face value. I understand that and I can
appreciate that, as I am a fan too. But, for everyone that posted or
messaged nasty things, you proved your hypocrisy wildly. (and if you
don’t understand what I just wrote, then you were probably one of them)
For those who messaged me with support or actually intelligent responses, I tried to respond in kind, and thank you.
As an insider, let me tell you my viewpoint of how
it happened as I saw it, and not the local reporter version, trying to
create hysteria.
After Freddie interrupted our training session,
yelling profanities and degrading the Mexican race, he confronted Robert
and myself. Names were yelled at each other, and Freddie balled up his
fists and made an aggressive move. I reacted, defending myself and
Robert. The “kick” was not a traditional kick, but a push-kick. This is
designed to create distance, not hurt anyone.
As for making fun of his Parkinson’s.. Listen, when
we were “friends”, we would all make light of his condition, including
himself. But this particular time I used it to get under his skin. This
may not justify the act for some, but do not get confused. Freddie is
not disabled or old. He is a very capable trainer and can still punch
someone’s lights out, if he got the chance. Now, I do not care who you
are, if I feel you are disrespecting my team, I will act. If I feel you
are about to hit someone on my team, I will react.I am not sorry for
what happened, as mistakes are where we learn from, but I do regret what
happened. When it is all over, 10-15 years down the road, I hope I can
call Freddie a friend.If anyone
has never made a mistake in the heat of the moment, feel free to display
your ignorance and hate, and just know you will be banned. For all
others, I do appreciate your support.Wherever your heart lies, I hope
you buy this fight. The fighters are the ones who should be highlighted,
so please help by buying and supporting your fighter, whoever it may
be.
Now that things have cooled down, god bless and see you at the weigh in.
NOW… LET’S CHALLENGE THIS IDIOTIC STATEMENT WITH THE TRUTH
ARIZA STATES: Freddie interrupted our training
session, yelling profanities and degrading the Mexican race, he
confronted Robert and myself.
THIS IS COMPLETELY INACCURATE. FREDDIE ROACH ONLY
CONFRONTED ROBERT GARCIA- AND HE DID NOT YELL AT HIM- NOR DID HE YELL
PROFANITIES- HE SIMPLY CALLED ROBERT A PIECE OF SHIT- IT WAS ALEX ARIZA
WHO STARTED YELLING THE PROFANITIES AND VOLUNTARILY JUMPED IN. FURTHER
MORE- THE COMMENTS FROM FREDDIE REGARDING SOMEONE BEING A MEXICAN WAS
AFTER ARIZA KICKED FREDDIE- NOT BEFORE AS ARIZA IS TRYING TO SUGGEST.
ARIZA STATES: Freddie balled up his fists and made
an aggressive move. I reacted, defending myself and Robert. The “kick”
was not a traditional kick, but a push-kick. This is designed to create
distance, not hurt anyone.
AGAIN- THIS IS COMPLETELY INACCURATE: YOU CAN SEE IN
THE VIDEO FREDDIE DID NOT ATTACK ANYONE- NOR DID HE HAVE HIS FIST
BALLED UP- OR HIS HAND BALLED UP IN A FIST- ANOTHER LIE BY ARIZA. AND
ALEX HAD TO DEFEND HIMSELF AND ANOTHER MAN THAT MUST WEIGH WELL OVER
230LBS? THEY MUST KICK SOMEONE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST FREDDIE
ROACH? NEXT ALEX STATES HE DID A PUSH KICK TO SEPARATE HIM FROM FREDDIE-
AGAIN-
ANOTHER LIE-
THE KICK ALEX DID WAS A FRONT SNAP KICK- OR COMMONLY
KNOWN AS A FRONT KICK- IT IS THE SAME KICK USED BY ANDERSON SILVA TO
KNOCK OUT VITOR BELFORT– ALEX ARIZA TRAINS MMA AND HE KNOWS THIS IS A
FRONT KICK- A PUSH KICK IS A SIDE KICK THAT PUSHES YOUR OPPONENT AWAY-
ALEX’S KICK IS DESIGNED TO HURT THE OPPONENT.
ARIZA STATES: Freddie is not disabled or old.
DID ARIZA SERIOUSLY JUST SAY THIS? FREDDIE ROACH IS NOT DISABLE OR OLD?
FANS- ARIZA IS IN HIS 30′S, TRAINS MMA, WEIGHS OVER 200LBS.
DO YOU THINK HE SHOULD BE KICKING ANOTHER MAN – A MAN THAT HAS PARKINSON’S DISEASE?
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?
